Maintenance of W440
Piston Pump
A.
Daily
Maintenance
1.
Check the oil level of the power end each
shift when shut down the pump.
2.
Check the pistons and liners when they are
working to see if there’s obviously wear, tear and leakage.
3.
Check the cooling fluid of the cylinder liner
and piston often, and if needed, change it if dirty.
4.
Check the liner’s nozzle everyday to avoid
jam and to make sure the liners and pistons are sufficiently cooled and
lubricated.
5.
Loosen the piston rod clamp daily and turn
the piston quarter round then tighten the rod clamp to make piston wear equally
and prolong the life of liners and pistons.
6.
Check the pressure of the pulsation dampener
everyday to make sure it meet the demand of the standard.
B.
Weekly
Maintenance
1.
Open the valve cap of cylinder and clean the
sundries on cap threads and flange threads, and then put thread oil on cleaned
screw avoiding abrasion, scrape and bad mesh.(lead base thread oil is advised)
2.
Check the valve and seat abrasion condition
and change them if they are worn out or damaged.
3.
Check the liners and pistons, change them if
badly worn out or damaged.
4.
Change the piston’s locking nut if they are
damaged, rusted or unable to lock.
C.
Monthly
Maintenance
1.
Let out the dirty oil in the deposit pool of
power end(under the crosshead) per six months and clean it, then refill it with
new oil.
2.
Check the clearance between the crosshead and
guide plate every six months, adjust it if too large.
3.
Check the tightness of all the double-head
stud and nuts including the nuts between thread ring and cylinder, between
cylinders and pump shell, between liner bushing and cylinder.
D.
Yearly
Maintenance
1.
About one or two years, check the tightness
of crankshaft bearing, connection rod bearing, pinion shaft bearing, crosshead
bearing. Crosshead guide late. Should have a throughout check if find any
problem.
